Janet Ruby Mathews, 78, Marietta resident died Thursday September 1, 2016. Funeral services will be Saturday September 3, 2016 at 2:30 pm at Eastwood Baptist Church, Marietta Georgia. Janet enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling. She was very outgoing, loved people, and never met a stranger. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. Janet was the type of person that loved nature, wanted things done right and on time. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; Henry and Ruby Hardy, infant son Jonathan Lee Mathews, and husband of 33 years; William Mathews. Survivors include; two daughters; Susan Lewis (Steven), Angie Bryant (Jeff), two sons; Joey McCoy Mathews, and David Lester Mathews (Kristi), sister; Sarah McCarty (Donald), nine grandchildren; Jonathan Roske, Scott Lewis, Shane Lewis, Jacob Bryant, Joshua Bryant, Amber Phillips, Lauren Mathews, Drew Mathews, and Michael Mathews, three great grandchildren; Joseph, Noah, and Anistyn. Several nieces and nephews, the family will be receiving friend and family Friday September 2, 2016, 5pm until 8pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral, Kennesaw Georgia
