Jean was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, but her best role was as the beloved MeMaw, known for her outstanding ability to spoil all children and pets and create a memorable event for every important family milestone such as birthdays, graduations, and baby showers.
She gave her whole heart to all those she loved and did so much for so many. She had a hand in raising many children into the outstanding adults they are today. Any child who visited her home did not want to leave. She created a safe, loving place for family, friends and many dogs of various types and sizes. All were welcome and well fed.
Jean and her husband Carlton of over 50 years hosted many events throughout the years including the legendary Parkerfest 4th of July picnic and fireworks show and their annual January 1st celebration that was always well attended and enjoyed. Her life is a testimony of service and devotion to others. Jean and Carlton enjoyed traveling to many places including Europe, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, and many National Parks, but her favorite place to visit was Hawaii.
Along with her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Culpepper. Jean leaves behind to carry on her legacy her husband, Carlton, children and grandchildren.
The visitation for Jean will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with the service to follow.
