A native Georgian, Mrs. Shaw lived in Marietta most of her life and had recently moved to Macon with her sons. She was the first retire in Atlanta from Toys R Us and a loving homemaker as well. In her spare time she enjoyed crossword puzzles and traveling with family and friends. She will be remembered by family and friends as a loving mother, grandmother, and a avid Atlanta Braves fan. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 1997.
Survivors include her sons - Chuck Shaw and Tim Shaw of Macon, daughter - Twilia Ryan of Austell, brothers - Frank, Michael, and Clifford Collett, sisters - Mildred Logan and Lois Wade, grandchildren - Jennifer, Charles, Kathlyn, and Christina. There are also several nieces and nephews that survive.
