Jeanette Marie Pyers, age 93, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023. She was born in Flint, Michigan on July 10, 1929, to the late John Benjamin Cavitt and Leona M. Cavitt Karr. Jeanette was a jack of all trades and embarked on many careers such as a Medical Assistant, Secretary, Patient Coordinator, and Operator/Manager of a beauty salon. She loved to travel and visit new places and meet new people. Jeanette traveled to Europe many times, traveled the US in their motorhome, including camping in Alaska, and completed a light house tour throughout the United States on a Gold Wing motorcycle. She also enjoyed fishing, chair caning, bowling, and pool, as she was known as a “pool shark” when she was young. Jeanette’s last “job” was an Ambassador for Merrill Gardens where she helped the newcomers get acclimated and feel at home. She loved making people feel welcome. Most of all, Jeanette was a loving wife and a caring, sweet mother that loved her family deeply. She was full of life, love, and energy and will be missed by all that knew her.
Jeanette is survived by her sons; John Pyers (Gina), and Patrick Pyers (Cheryl), daughters; Deb St. Louis (Rickey Garrett), Laurie Hickey Wagner (Ed), and Ann Pyers, sister; Jacqueline Ankney, 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, David Patrick Pyers, and her brother-in-law, Raymond Ankney.
A celebration of life for Jeanette will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152.
