He was born March 26, 1961, to Roslyn Shockey Vermillion and Robert Vermillion in Lima Ohio. Joel was one of three children and is preceded in death by his parents Roslyn and Robert, and brother Gregg Vermillion.
Joel, as an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed both hunting and fishing. A mechanical wiz and woodworker, there was nothing he couldn’t fix or create. Joel loved music as well, especially classic and southern rock acts including Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers band. He was also a guitarist himself. His most prized accomplishment was the family which he created. He married his loving wife Debbie Vermillion in 1986 and they had one son. A loving husband and proud father, he was loved by all and was the life of every party.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Debbie Vermillion, his son Nick Vermillion, and brother Doug Vermillion.
