We went to church at Rowland Hills Baptist with the Long family. I was friends with Beverly and Gerald. Then we all moved and went to church again with the Longs at Zion baptist. Mr Long was always so kind and friendly. My prayers are with the family. We loved their whole family 🙏❤

I met John several years ago. What struck me most was the quiet love and strength he had for his wife and children. He was not one to mince words or to keep his opinion to himself. I liked him so much. He absolutely loved to tell me about his time at Lockheed supervising a team that hung wings on the C-130. It was fascinating learning the process from him. I could tell he was so proud of the quality of the work that he and his team performed. He actually went to the South Pole to help repair a C-130 that had crashed. Sounded like such an adventure but he told me he missed his family while he was down there. I enjoyed the time I got to spend with him and he will always have a place in my heart. So long John, see you on the other side.
