Mr. John “Larry” Lawrence Williams, age 67 of Freeport, Florida formally of Acworth, Georgia died January 27, 2023. He was born in St. Louis, Mo. to Victor and Alene Williams. He enjoyed the life of a military brat where he traveled the world with his dad as he served in the USAF. Mr. Williams was the President and CEO of Freight Management, Inc. before his retirement. Larry enjoyed time in his yard where he could often be found planting flowers or giving advice to neighbors looking for help on landscaping and plants. He loved all types of fishing, especially deep-sea fishing. He enjoyed boating on the lake, bay, or ocean. He loved his boats, but he would say they did not always love him back. He proudly displayed his “War Eagle” in his home from his alma mater, Auburn University. He was a true servant that liked to help other people. He always had life advice that would make you smile! He would go out of his way to give a hand up to those in need, such as homeless vets that needed to learn a skill. He was first in line in the emergency room to volunteer during snow crisis when staff were unable to come in. He loved his family and had a strong faith in God which helped him get through the many struggles with his health. He was loved by many, forgotten by none, and left an impression with all who crossed paths with him.
