Karen Fauney Murdock, age 86, of Canton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Karen was born on May 28, 1939 in Buffalo, New York. Karen was married to her husband, Pee Wee, for 32 years. She was a deeply devoted, loving mother and grandmother to her family and her fur baby, Prissy. Karen worked for Lockheed before her retirement, but, in her free time, she found joy in reading, bowling, puzzles, word searches, and cooking for her family.
Karen “Memaw” is survived by her son Charles D “Chuck” Murdock III (and her daughter-in-law, as she referred to her, Shelley Dunn); her grandson Charles D “Chaz” Murdock IV (Lindsey Bohanon) and her granddaughter Jade Alexandria Murdock, along with their mother, Julie Murdock. Karen was also the best Memaw to Ansley King Chastain.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband Charles D "Pee Wee" Murdock, Jr; her daughter Helen Murdock; her parents Thomas Bowman and Helen Bowman.
