Mr. Kenneth “Ken” Charles Roper was born on August 15, 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia. He loved his family deeply. He was always up for a good joke or funny story. He has always loved cars and dirt track racing. He began a successful company called Fast Lane Racing Equipment in 1985 in Woodstock, Georgia. In 1997, he opened KRC Power Steering, Inc. in Kennesaw, Georgia. He retired in 2018, and the legacy of his business continues today.
Ken was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Kennesaw, Georgia. He loved the Lord and has held on to his faith during his many years of illnesses. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2020 into the arms of Jesus. He will be deeply missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Karen Roper; daughter, Alice Vainrib (Andy); son, Andy Roper, (Clorissa); grandchildren; Brody and Anna McKayne Vainrib; Hope and Faith Roper; and brothers, Tim Roper and Jeff Roper.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ken’s memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
A visitation for Ken will be Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A celebration of life and memorial service will occur after visitation at 3:00 pm.
