Kwame graduated from August Martin HS in Queens, NY. After graduating, he served his country with a distinction in the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division. He was deployed to Panama, Kuwait, and Afghanistan and his service will never be forgotten.
Kwame was a man of great compassion who was dedicated to his family. Upon his honorable discharge from the military, he moved to Miami to care for his beloved ailing grandmother. His grandmother instilled the importance of family and creating memories. This would stay with Kwame throughout his life, always prioritizing family. Kwame was dedicated to his loved ones, making continuous efforts to assist anyone in need, and providing thoughtful counsel. He gave the best advice.
Kwame eventually moved back to NY to start his career as a Correction Officer for the NYC Department of Corrections. After his retirement, he relocated to Georgia and influenced several family members to do the same.
Our dearest Kwame will always be remembered as someone who was endearing, charismatic, loyal, loving, caring, wise, welcoming, and kind. Kwame will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
