

Mr. Bearden was a member of Carmel Baptist Church his entire life. He enjoyed going to car races, and gardening, but his greatest joy was fishing with his grandson, Alex, and attending all of his baseball games.
Mr. Bearden is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mrs. Frances McPherson Bearden; one son, Michael Bearden, spouse, Jean Peacock of Kennesaw; a brother Billy Bearden, wife Debra, of Dallas, GA; a sister, Betty Brookshire, of Cartersville, GA; two grandchildren, Alex Bearden, and Chloe Peacock; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Bearden will be held, 2:00p.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Carmel Baptist Church, 2001 Bascomb Carmel Road, Woodstock, GA 30189, with Rev. Stanley Pruitt and Rev. Truman Pyles officiating. Interment will follow at Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Bearden will lie in state at Carmel Baptist Church from 1:00pm until service time.
The family of Mr. Lamar Bearden, will be receiving friends Monday, October 27, 2014, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm and Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm, and 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Parkway, Kennesaw, GA 30152, 770-422-7299.
