

He was a retired USMC Veteran who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cultivating his garden, and making others laugh, he was an animal lover and enjoyed reading his bible.
Laurel E. "Chappy" Chapman is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Villa Chapman, and brother, Larry Chapman. He is survived by his former wives, Jean L. Chapman of Acworth, Georgia and Harriett Lockhart Chapman of Marietta, Georgia; sons, Steven L. Chapman and his wife, Jane, of Cumming, Georgia and Kelley L. Chapman of Kennesaw, Georgia; daughter, Sandra J. Chapman-Hall of Acworth, Georgia; stepson, Brian Carlett and his wife, Jean, of Reidsville, North Carolina; former daughter in law, Lita Chapman-Deavers; sisters, Dawn Dolen of Branden, Florida and Sheila Ramsey of Kings Mountain, North Carolina; sister in law, Norma Jean Chapman of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren, Adeana Lane Hall of Los Angeles, California, Brittany E. Fifer and her husband, Toby, of Cumming, Georgia; Brandi Williams and her husband, Adam, of Marietta, Georgia, Kaylee Chapman of Denver, Colorado, and Olivia Chapman of Dallas, Georgia; five great-grandchildren, Carson Chapman, Jonathan Williams, Parrish Mae Young, Steven Ryan Fifer, and Brandon Williams; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins to cherish his memory.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home's chapel with Pastor Ryan Joiner officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw.
