Lenora Jackson

Lenora Jackson, age 77, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022. Lenora was born April 10, 1945, in East Lynn, WV to the late Jay and Virgie Gilkerson. Lenora was an excellent homemaker for her family and made amazing meals for them to enjoy. She was a great cook and if you left hungry that was your fault. Lenora has a green thumb and tended to her beautiful garden. She appreciated the outdoors and went camping and fishing often with her family. She owned her favorite dog, a poodle named "Little Bit" that she loved very much. She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother, She will be missed by all that knew her.

Lenora is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Glenn Braxter Jackson; her sons Glenn Jackson (Michelle); and Kevin Jackson (Amy); her daughter Ronny Minnix (Ted); her brother Jerry Gilkerson; her grandchildren Keith Brandon Jackson, Jonathan Robert Jackson, David Todd Minnix, Alexander Chase Jackson and Abbagail Grace Jackson, and three great grandchildren.

Lenora was preceded in death by her brother Douglas Gilkerson and three beloved poodles, Petie, Princess and Peanut.

A visitation for Lenora will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. Following the visitation will be a graveside service` at 11:00 am at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia 30194.
