Leona Jane Denney, 86, of Marietta, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge funeral home beginning at 1pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
A native of Gibson City, IL Mrs. Denney had lived in Marietta for several years. During her working career she was employed by Bachrachs as a seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Denney and a son James Fields. Mrs. Denney will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend who loved to do crossword puzzles.
Those who survive Mrs. Denney include son, John Lorenson; daughters, Mary Simmons, Alicia and her husband Earl Jackson and Becky Parker; sister, Eva Waterhouse; 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
