Linda Rebecca Rickman

Mrs. Linda Spruell Rickman, age 78, passed away peacefully at her Canton home on Friday, December 16, 2022. Linda was a mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She greeted everyone with an infectious smile and a loving Christian heart. Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda was born on August 2, 1944, in Atlanta, Georgia to Vernon and Evelyn Spruell. She grew up in the Techwood community and graduated from O’Keefe High School in 1962. Linda married Henry Lee Rickman on June 20, 1964. Together they raised three sons and were married for 46 years, until Henry’s passing in 2010. The Rickmans were active in the church community where they led songs and Linda played the piano.

Linda was a dedicated employee of Cobb EMC. She rose through the ranks achieving the position of Customer Service Department manager. A role she held until her retirement.

Linda enjoyed watching the Braves and Falcons, watching horror movies, going to the beach, cooking, and most of all being with her family.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband Henry.

Linda is survived by her sons and daughter in laws: Jeff and Stephanie Rickman of Jasper, Ga., David and Kathy Rickman of Canton, Ga., and Corey and Zhanna Rickman, of Canton, Ga. Brothers and sister in laws: Phil and Gail Spruell of Monroe, Ga., and Terry and Sheila Spruell of Canton, Ga.

Grandchildren: Donovan and Trina Rickman, of Adairsville, Ga., Katie and Brian Knight, of Cartersville, Ga., Garrett Rickman of Kennesaw, Ga., Dillon Rickman, and Kaitlyn Cochran, of Rockmart, Ga., Andrew Schrock, of Canton Ga., Sean Rickman of Canton, Nikki Branum of Atlanta, Ga., and Baily Branum of Canton, Ga.

Eight Great-Grandchildren also survive along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
