Lois Pickelsimer Trowell

Lois Pickelsimer Trowell, age 79, of Carrollton, GA passed away on Saturday December 2, 2017. Lois was born May 25, 1938 in Epworth, GA.

Lois is survived by her husband, James Trowell; son Roger Trowell; brother JD Pickelsimer, brother Tom Pickelsimer, sister Opal Mitchell, sister Maxine Wood, sister Irene Larrea and sister Tressie Camp; grandson Austen Trowell and grandson Jorden Trowell.

Lois worked for many years with Norfolk Southern as a Transportation Secretary. She was of the Baptist Faith an attended Villa Rica First Baptist Church. In her younger years, Lois sang at several different Churches during the revival season. Her hobbies included traveling with her friends from the Paulding County Senior Center, jazzercising, and playing cards with her friends.

A visitation for Lois will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. A chapel service will occur Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Bill Rorie officiating. Burial will follow at Pineridge Memorial Park, in Kennesaw.

I'll always treasure my memories of Aunt Lois. She welcomed me into the family with such genuine warmth and love. Such a special lady. She will be forever missed here on earth...but there is surely a celebration going on in Heaven!
