Louise Elaine Coppinger, age 84, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2019. Elaine was born on April 3, 1934, to the late Elwood and Mabel Hutchins, in Baltimore, Maryland. Elaine led a life full of love. She was strong-willed and very devoted to her family. A selfless, wonderful mother, Elaine was primary caregiver to her four children, and played a large role in raising her three grandchildren as well. Elaine always put family first in her life. There was no limit to what she would do for her loved ones, and it showed in every aspect of her life. No stranger to hardship, Elaine kept her zest for life through every hurdle. An avid reader, Elaine was known to have a book in her hand, her favorite being Gone with the Wind. She will also be remembered by many for her collection of Snoopy memorabilia and appreciation of good music, chiefly Neil Diamond.
Along with her parents, Ms. Elaine is preceded in death by her sons, Michael Coppinger and David Coppinger. She is survived by her ex-husband, John (Virginia) Coppinger; daughter, Allison (Bill) Yee; son, Patrick Coppinger; grandchildren, Eric Hite, Jennifer (Kyle) Anderson, Andrew Hite, Justin (Tonya) Yee, Chelsea (Michael) McLeod; former son-in-law, Ernest Hite and his brother Ronald Hite.
A celebration of life, to honor Ms. Elaine, will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw Ga 30152, at two o'clock in the afternoon. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service. An internment will follow the service at Pine Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, per Ms. Elaine's request, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in remembrance of her sons, Michael and David.
