Wellstar Hospital in Marietta, GA. Died November 30, 2022 in Kennesaw, GA.
Luke was the third and final addition to the Harris family. He could not have been more loved or
given more joy than he did. His name, Luke, means Bringer of Light, and that was the best
description of his life. He brought light into our lives and along with many others. Luke attended
North Cobb Christian School through 10th grade and finished out at East Paulding. He was a
part of Kennesaw State University, majoring in Communications and was a vital part of the
Sigma Nu fraternity. He shared an apartment with two fraternity friends while working part time
at Design Lighting Group in Atlanta.
Luke loved life, his family and friends and was always up for a new adventure. He learned to fly
a plane at McCullough Airport in Kennesaw and had almost completed his private license. He
also enjoyed jumping out of planes and had plans to do so again. He loved to travel and had
recently been to NYC to visit his friend while experiencing the city life…(and decided he was not
a Big-City boy!) Luke’s main hobby (so to speak) was investing in the lives of others. He cared
deeply and showed his love and concerns in various ways. He was a face to face kind of guy
and cared more to be in person even if it was facetime. He always wanted to see your face.
His parents are Tony and Lisa Harris of Dallas, GA. Brother, Joel Carter of Cartersville, GA.
Grandfather, Leonard Lynn of Mableton, GA. Preceding him in death was his sister, Whitney
Carter of Kennesaw, GA. His Grandmother, Shirley Lynn of Mableton, GA, and his
Grandparents, Clara and Floyd Harris of Waco, GA. Luke also left behind his closest and
dearest friends, Anna Catherine Womack of Cartersville, GA. and Eric Maier of Dallas, GA.
