I worked with Lynn, and she was such a great person to work with. She always went above and beyond for her babies. I admired her greatly.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Lynn in the NICU. She was one of the first people I met when I joined the staff and she was so funny and nice to talk to. I truly enjoyed working with her and am so sad to have heard about her passing. She will be missed.

Lynn was truly a free spirit and had a fun sense of humor.  She always met you with a smile and a great sense of energy. We both worked ther NICU at Northside ; and although I worked days and she worked nights, I was glad to see her and knew that the end of my shift was the beginning for a fun and successful one when I gave report to Lynn.  Memories of her are those that I definitely keep, and I wish her family & friends and those that held her close in their hearts, my deepest sympathies. We are lucky to have known and to have worked her. Thank you Lynn and we will certainly feel the loss.  May you find everlasting peace.  <3

We remember times we traveled to to Georgia to visit George and Lynn. Lynn was always a kind hostess and welcomed our stays in her home. We remember Lynn talking of her work as a nurse. We admired her care of the most fragile of newborns. We are sure her healing hands touched many.

To my other Mom,

I'll always remember the amazing times we had. You were truly one of the most selfless and caring individuals I ever knew, and these are things I'll always carry with me. Please guide me as I navigate this thing called life. 

With all the lives you touched, all the babies you saved, and all the families you gave hope to; your entry into the Kingdom of Heaven is an absolute guarantee. I wish it didn't have to be like this, but I know you're finally at peace. May you now rest easy in the company of your beloved father & mother, your cherished Bob, and your dear late dog Oscar. While I'm at loss for words knowing that you're gone, my actions in this life with your guidance from above will speak for themselves.

It was a shock to learn of Lynn's passing.  I had the opportunity to work with Lynn at Northside hospital for over 20+ years.   I enjoyed working with Lynn, she was a hard worker, with an incredible sense of humor.   My thoughts and prayers are with family that loved and cherished her. Lynn was a great Nurse and Pod mate. We worked together many years on nights at NSH
She was particularly  good in emergency situations being helpful and keeping her cool. She was smart and a hard worker. 
I Loved her hilarious stories, jokes and pranks. She once brought a remote controlled Fart machine in to work and we all laughed as she pranked numerous co- workers and even the Docs!! 
We also loved to do crossword puzzles during down times and talking about books.
She was gentle and kind with both parents and their babies… carefully explaining how to give a bath and what to expect next with their care. 
She was also great with our chronic population which took a lot of patience.
 Her death is a terrible loss  to her family, friends and co workers. 💔

Lynn was like an aunt to me. I grew up going down to Georgia all my life. I remember her being so funny and always laughing and cracking jokes; I remember when I was old enough to try to keep up with her funny. Such a caring, gentle woman and I will miss her so much. Love you very much Lynn.

I was shocked to hear of Lynn’s passing💔 I worked with her briefly on nights and then for years have  enjoyed talking with her at shift change! She was such a wonderful nurse, Pod mate and coworker. I will keep her family and friends in my prayers 🙏🏻

I worked with Lynn on nightshift in the NICU in Atlanta for 12 years then briefly at Northside Cherokee. She was always so much fun to work with. I will never forget one of the many times when we were super busy for several nights in a row and where having to run all over the place, she showed up one night wearing tennis shoes that had skates built into them. I would see her zooming all over the place and would laugh hysterically. She loved making people laugh which was so nice when you are trying to stay awake at work overnight for 12 hours. We loved talking about our families and pets. I am so very thankful I had the privilege of working with Lynn. She definitely made the world a brighter funnier place and she will be missed.  Rest easy Lynn.

Please accept our deepest condolences. We can't imagine what you are going through but know that we are here for you. We were so saddened to hear about her passing. Our heart goes out to you and the family. Lynn was a caring neighbor. She will be greatly missed.

Sending prayers to the Vella family.  I’m so sorry to hear about Lynn’s passing. I worked in the NICU at Northside with Lynn.  She was a wonderful, talented  and caring nurse and I have many wonderful memories of working side by side with her.  She had a great sense of humor and always made me laugh.  She will be missed by all her co- workers  and the babies she cared for.
