Margaret "Marge" Helen Brophy, age 79, of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025. She was born on July 22, 1946 to the late Henry and Helen Brophy in Kearny, NJ. Marge was an accountant for Softrol for many years. There she was known for her hardwork and dedication.
Marge was a member of Mount Paran North. Her faith and family meant everything to her. Marge enjoyed golfing and traveling all over the world with her best friends. She also liked to play mahjong and bingo. Marge was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all that had the honor of knowing her.
Marge is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Brophy Sr.
Marge is survived by her son, Michael Brophy Jr. (Melissa), grandchildren; Kylen and Evan Brophy, and brother, James Nelson (Helene).
A funeral service for Marg will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152. A reception will occur following the service. Marg's committal service will occur Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, 1861 Dallas Hwy, Marietta, GA 30064.
