Marilyn Covington

Marilyn G. Covington, of Marietta, Ga, died on Nov 26 of cardiovascular complications. She was 87 years old. Mrs. Covington was a resident of Marietta for 48 years. She was the wife of deceased Radio, TV and Movie personality Fred Covington. She was a professional singer, beginning her career in Greensboro, NC, performing in cities across the country and concluding her career in Atlanta in the late 1970's. She was a member of numerous Sewing Guilds and of Blackwell Homemaker's Club for 40 years. She was the Mother of Kent C. Covington Sr., deceased, Gregory C. Covington, deceased, and is survived by son Terry C. Covington, daughter Kristie C. Burrows , three grandchildren, Kent Covington Jr., Paige Elizabeth Burrows, Brent P. Burrows, and great grandchildren Savannah and Kent C. Covington III. Her life will be celebrated by a Memorial Service at Living Hope Church, in Kennesaw, Ga at 2:00 pm on Sunday December 11th, followed by private graveside service.
