Mrs. Cantrell grew up on a farm in Paulding County and loved the outdoors and hiking. She was a tremendous supporter of the Special Olympics in which her daughter Cathy participated, especially bowling and gymnastics teams. Though she found great joy in her hobbies, her greatest joy came from being a mother to her wonderful daughter. Lucille was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will certainly be missed by all who knew her.
Along with her parents, brother, and sister, Lucille is preceded in death by her husband Delma Cantrell whom she married on June 12, 1965.
Lucille is survived by her one daughter, Cathy Ann Cantrell of Taylors, South Carolina; one brother, Arnold Graves of Acworth, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor the life of Lucille will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
