Mary Ann attended high school in her early years, laying the foundation for a life rich in learning and personal growth. She dedicated her life to being a wonderful homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming environment for her family.
Her love for gardening and being outdoors was well-known, and she found great joy in tending to her plants and enjoying nature's beauty.
Mary Ann will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her two children; Richard Carter (Elke) and Lisa Boyter, brothers; Jack and Rayford Byrd, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husbands Mr. Carter and Jerry Gillmore, and her grandchild.
