Mary Ellen (Susie)Jernigan Plumb passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026. Born January 15, 1936 in Pensacola Florida. Susie was the oldest of ten. She met and married Kenneth (Ken) Plumb on January 23, 1954, and joined him in moving around the world as he served in the U.S. Navy and then the U. S. Army until retiring to Acworth, Georgia. Susie was a beloved mother to; Susan Pamala Butler, Michael Maxie Plumb, Mitchell Lawrence Plumb, Andrew James Plumb and Kimberley Marie Plumb Poss. Grandmother of eight and Great Grandmother of five all of whom were her pride and joy.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents Maxie W. Jernigan and Annie Beatrice Young Jernigan, husband Ken, grandson Casey, brothers; James (Buddy), Shirley (Donnie), Douglas (Doug), Joseph Lee and Cecil Darrell and sisters Carolyn G. McClain and, Sadie D. Horton. She is survived by sisters Gloria S. Shaddix and Caffie E. Taber who will never forget the love and spark she brought to their lives.
Interment is Friday, February 27th at 3pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. The family asks in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Must Ministries of Marietta, Georgia or the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
