On Monday, October 5, 2026, Mary Tidwell Stoll passed away peacefully surrounded by family into the arms of Jesus. She was the most loving Wife, amazing Mother, incredible Mimi, and tremendous friend to everyone who knew her. Mary was born to Charles and Christine Tidwell on December 30, 1957 in Corinth, Mississippi. She resided in Kennesaw, Georgia and was retired from her work as a clerk at North Cobb High School. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Christine Tidwell, her sister, Myra Hazard, and her daughter, Caitlin Stoll. Mary is survived by her husband, Andrew Stoll, her daughters Casey (Brandon) Baum, and Kristen (Tracy) Klinger, and her grandchildren Owen, Camden, Emersyn, Cora, Claire, Reese, and Layne.
Mary grew up in Adamsville, Tennessee and moved to Memphis, Tennessee after high school graduation. She met and fell in love with Andrew Stoll after meeting on a blind date. They were wed on May 30, 1981 and made a wonderful life together over the last 45 years. In those years, Mary and Andy brought home their three daughters who were the light of their lives. Mary and her family relocated to Kennesaw, Georgia in 1997 and established deep roots within that community.
Mary was incredibly strong and willful. She would accomplish anything she put her mind to, and was a fierce protector of her loved ones. Mary was one of the smartest people in the room, always at the ready with new interesting facts or ideas for her next travel destination. Mary and Andy were avid travelers, having gotten to visit places such as Canada, London, Paris, and many national parks across the U.S. She loved being around her family, whether it was on the beach watching grandkids play in the water, or at one of the many sporting events cheering the loudest. Mary had a deep foundation in her Faith, constantly praying for others and spending time in her Bible daily.
We are so proud of the gentle soul that was Mary Stoll. She was the matriarch of our family, our confidant and biggest supporter. She would be there for anyone no questions asked. She was truly a beautiful person, both inside and out, and a role model to her daughters and many who met her. We will continue to cherish her daily. We love you Meemsters.
A celebration of life for Mary will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Northstar Church. The family will receive visitation beginning at 10am and a service will directly follow at 11am.
