Mary Sue poured her creativity into arts and crafts. Although she was a great cook, she still enjoyed dining out with family and friends and having tea parties with her granddaughters and great-granddaughters. Mary Sue loved to travel and spent hours researching her family genealogy. As long as her health permitted, she was always involved in church activities. Above all, though, Mary Sue put family over everything. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Mary Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, George Bruce Holmes, Sr.; father Harris and mother Thelma Cope; brothers, Bill, Jerry, and Bob Cope.
Mary Sue is survived by her son - Bruce (Karen) Holmes; daughter - Karen (Larry) North; sister Sally Redfern; 12 grandchildren, Amanda and Morgan Holmes, Joshua (Shelley), Matthew (Heather), Daniel (Cheryl), Micah (Kristen), Jonathan (Michele), Ethan (Nicolette), Rebekah, Sarah' Stephen (Hannah), and Caleb North. 11 great-grandchildren, Mason, Nic, Noah, Nathan, Embry Lynn, Adelynn, Emma, Gage, Boaz, Ezra, and Tallen. and several nieces and nephews.
