

Melvin Alexander Jedrzejak, age 88, formerly of Marietta, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 6, 2019 in his hometown of Anderson, South Carolina. He was born in Chicago, IL to the late Emily and Alexander Jedrzejak. Melvin served honorable in the Army for three years, where he went to Korea and was stationed in Germany. Mr. Jedrzejak was an avid golfer and enjoyed Chicago sports. His favorite team was the Chicago White Sox. Melvin was devoted to his wife, Mary, of 20 years and was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Melvin is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jedrzejak and daughter, Linda Markham. He is survived by his son, Jeff (Julie) Jedrzejak; son-in-law, Scott Markham; daughter, Judy (Billy) Montgomery; brother, Jerome Jedrzejak; sister, Patricia Glavan; grandchildren; Tyler Jedrzejak, Parker Jedrzejak, Kevin Markham, Kelly Markham; Bobby Montgomery; Stormy Montgomery; great grandchild Brinkley Markham; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 5pm to 7pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 8am. Following services, Melvin will be buried at the Georgia National Cemetery.
