Merna L. Lester, 83, of Marietta, GA, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Pastor Vic Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow at Pineridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw.
Mrs. Lester was preceded in death by her Husband – Curtis Lester and a Daughter – Marlene Lester. Merna was a homemaker and raised six children while also supporting her husband in his businesses. She was a longtime member of Shiloh Hills Baptist Church. Mrs. Lester will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend to all who knew her.
Those who survive Merna are her children, Children – Mary and Carl Sylvester of Dallas, Rebecca Beverly of Rockmart, Margaret Kay Lester of Dallas and Jennifer and Pat Szubielak of Michigan, Allan and Alonda Lester of Cartersville and Cliff and Sarah Lester of Etiwanda, Ca;
Brothers – Bill Anderson of Centerville, IA and Gilbert Anderson of California. There are eleven Grandchildren and five Great-Grandchildren that also survive.
The Family will receive friends Monday from 4 – 7pm at the Funeral Home.
