Michael D. Harris, 54, of Kennesaw, passed away Friday, March 09, 2012. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at the Chapel Mausoleum in Pineridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw beginning at 11 am.
Michael was a native Georgian and was most recently employed with US Express Enterprises, Inc as a Truck Driver. He was considered an outdoorsman and with his desire to be outside, he started his own landscaping company. He loved animals, and in what little spare time he had, enjoyed fishing. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member Kennesaw First Baptist Church.
Michael is survived by his Mother – Elizabeth Ann Harris of Acworth; Daughter – Sgt. Christinia and her Husband 2nd Lt. John Helms of California. He is also survived by his Granddaughter – Ava Brook Helms.
In lieu of flowers the Family has requested donations be made in memory of Michael to the American Lung Association in Georgia at 2452 Spring Rd Smyrna, GA 30080 or www.lunggs.org. Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
