Mr. Michael Anthony O’Reggio, age 29, of Marietta, GA., passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018. Michael was born on Thursday, November 10, 1988 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, NY, a son to Kenton O’Reggio and Michele Walters.
Michael was a graduate of South River High School in New Jersey. He resided in New York City for several years where he attended Borough Manhattan Community College (BMCC), worked in security at JFK airport and later became a NY certified construction worker and working in various locations including the Javitz Center. A few years later, he decided to make a change and moved to Georgia to reside with his father until he could get himself established. Eventually, he found a job opportunity working as an Auto Service Technician at Wal-Mart close by his home in Marietta.
Michael was a giving person who took every opportunity to share wisdom, inspiration and positive vibrations to everyone around who was open to discussion. He was full of life, energy, an uplifting spirit with a contagious smile that captured the hearts of everyone who he came in contact with. He enjoyed spending time with loved ones, reading, seeking enlightenment, listening to any & every type of music, watching old classic films and occasionally cooking for his family. Michael was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Along with his parents, Kenton O’Reggio and Michele Walters, Michael is survived by his step father, Howard Walters; Sister, Kiara McKenzie; step-siblings, Melanie, Zach, Howie & Matt Walters; and Shelvia Williams; paternal grandmother, Althea Anguin; paternal grandfather, Lascelles O’Reggio; maternal grandparents, Martha Charles and Rudy Charles; aunts and uncles, Yanique Anguin Dixon, Karen DaSilva, Jason Charles, Quintin Charles, Tara O’Reggio, Kevin O’Reggio, Sarah Anguin-Cedeno; and also a host of extended family members and friends.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Michael O’Reggio will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 in the Chapel of WInkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Time for services will be at 3PM (EST). Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will be receiving friends from four o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
