Michael Bradley Schwartz of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026. Michael passed while undergoing his third liver transplant, a battle that he fought bravely all the way to the end. He was born on March 20, 1991, in Atlanta, Georgia to Danny and Mary Schwartz.
Michael was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his parents, Danny and Mary Schwartz; his brothers, Douglas Schwartz and David Schwartz (Gracie); and his sister, Michelle Fletcher (Banks).
Michael attended Kennesaw Mountain High School before continuing his education at Lee University, where he completed his undergraduate degree in Youth and Family Ministry. He later earned his master's degree in education from Grand Canyon University.
Michael’s identity was rooted in his deep faith in Jesus Christ, and he had a unique gift of sharing God's love and the truth of the gospel with others. He devoted his adult life to ministry, and he had a particular love for college students and college athletes. He began Elevate Athletes Foundation, a ministry that allowed him the great joy of walking alongside student athletes, encouraging them, and helping them grow in their faith.
Outside of ministry, Michael was a passionate sports fan, especially of the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. He followed Georgia football recruiting closely and could often tell other fans more about their own team’s roster and recruiting class than they knew themselves.
Of all the titles Michael held throughout his life, perhaps his favorite was Uncle. He adored his nephew, Dawson Schwartz, and his nieces, Addison Fletcher, and Chapel Schwartz. They brought him a special kind of joy, and the love he had for them will remain a treasured part of their lives.
Michael will be remembered for his deep faith, his love for Christ, his heart for others, and the countless lives he touched through his ministry. His presence, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the many people who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held at Riverstone Church, 2005 Stilesboro Rd NW, Kennesaw, GA 30152, US, on October 1, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Riverstone Church, 2005 Stilesboro Rd NW, Kennesaw, GA 30152, US, on October 1, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Pineridge Memorial Park, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152, US, on October 1, 2026.
Friends and family are invited back to Riverstone Church for a reception after the Committal Service.
