Mildred "Polly" Barrett Lunceford, age 78, of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Polly was born November 4, 1942, to Mary Cox Barrett and Samuel Paul Barrett.

Polly was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who provided excellent care for her family as a homemaker. She was a 1962 graduate of North Cobb High School with the distinction of being the first class to attend North Cobb from 9th grade through 12th. Polly was of the Baptist faith and a member of Summit Baptist Church in Acworth. She loved the outdoors, gardening and was an avid tennis player.

Those who will cherish Polly's memory are her husband of 55 years, Alvin Henry Lunceford; son Wes Lunceford and his wife Belinda; daughter Kim Lunceford Ayers and her husband Darin; granddaughter Hannah Ayers, granddaughter Emily Ayers, granddaughter Katie Lunceford, granddaughter Chloe Lunceford, granddaughter Taylor Rae Lunceford, and granddaughter Lindsey Ayers. Polly was preceded in death by father Samuel Paul Barrett, mother Mary Cox Barrett, sister Linda Maddox, brother Kenneth Barrett, Brother Morris Barrett, and sister-in-law Diane Barrett.
