Miriam Canady Ingram of Marietta, GA, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018. Miriam was born on her family farm in Appling County, GA, the youngest of six children to Charlie and Mary Overstreet Canady.
Miriam grew up in Baxley, GA. graduating from her high school, and leaving to attend nursing school at Crawford W. Long School of Nursing. She worked as a practical nurse for several years in Atlanta, until marrying her second husband, Charlie.They moved often with his job, and she became a stay at home mom, and later worked in real estate and insurance. She was very active in her community and church. She was a member of Acworth UMC for many years, and later a member of Marietta First UMC.
Miriam was a generous and loving wife, mother, “Nanny” and friend to everyone she knew. She loved life, and always told her daughter, Angie, that it should always be an adventure.
Miriam is preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Ingram, her siblings, Ruby Canady, Ernest Canady, Winifred Canady, Martha Canady Kimball, and Charles Canady. She is survived by her loving daughter, Angelia Douglass Yabrow, her son-in-law, Marty Yabrow, grandsons Ben Yabrow and Sam Yabrow, and sister-in-law, Ellen ‘Tippy’ Ingram. She also has many loving nieces and nephews who made her life special.
