Murray is survived by son Les Sandifer (Charlotte); and daughter Tammy Hicks (Cliff); sister Jennie Hoover (Heyward); grandson Blake Hicks (Heather), granddaughter Tiffany Bystedt (Richard), granddaughter Brookle Hicks and great grandchildren Dalton Hicks, Reagan Bystedt, Hunter Hicks, Shelby Bystedt, and Dallas Hicks. Murray was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Selma Louise Sandifer in 2006.
Murray had worked with Chevron for 37 years as a Marketing Analyst. He was a member of Piedmont Road Church of Christ for 43 years. Those who had the honor of knowing Murray will remember him fondly as someone who enjoyed working in the yard, baking, visiting with his Church family, and a loving Poppy.
A visitation for Murray will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Piedmont Rd Church of Christ, 1630 Piedmont Rd, Marietta, GA 30066, with funeral services following at 11:00 am. Murray will be laid to rest at Pineridge Memorial Park.
