Nicole Crist O'Donnell
August 9, 1973 – January 7, 2021
Nicole Rachelle (Crist) O'Donnell, age 47, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Nicole was born August 9, 1973 in Atlanta, Georgia. Nicole was the General Manager for Sure Tack Systems, Crist Company, Inc and had worked there in many different capacities for the past 25 years. She graduated from Kennesaw College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and studied graphic design, and she graduated from Lassiter High School, Marietta, in 1991. Nicole was a dedicated and loving mother to her daughter Niya, the love of her life. Nicole had a passion toward many things but they fell in comparison to the honor she experienced as a Mother. She and her daughter were very close and enjoyed spending their time together at home, shopping, and with their two dogs: Neo and Daisy, and their cat, Cherry. They also made numerous trips to the beach, national forests and different gardens throughout the south. She took great pride in Niya’s life and achievements. Nicole had a very giving heart and always made everyone around her a priority above and beyond herself, especially her family, friends and co-workers. She made a point to try to help those less fortunate in society and donated personal protection equipment to healthcare workers and emergency responders during this COVID pandemic. She was loved and surrounded by family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors in her everyday life. Nicole also enjoyed many of the things that life had to offer such as – Photography and Astronomy and became very involved with the Christ Episcopal Church in Kennesaw where she spent a lot of time in the gardens and donated much to the landscaping around the church. She also enjoyed many family reunions and spending time with her family relatives in Iowa and Illinois. In her numerous travels, Nicole loved nature, and became fascinated with sea turtles and frogs, and their long-term survival. She is survived by her daughter, Niya O’Donnell; her parents, Norma and Lawrence Crist; her sister, Michele Crist (spouse: Eian Harm) and her nephew Colter Crist. She was married to Paul O’Donnell for 20 years. After her recent divorce, she continued to remain very close to her “other family” her in-laws, on the O’Donnell side including Cathy O’Donnell (Lucas and Ethan), Peter and Mindy O’Donnell (Ryan and Jamie), Michael O’Donnell (Zachary and Kyleigh), Alison and David Brownlee (Shannen (Shane) and Dawson), Lynn O’Donnell (mother in-law), and Frank (father in-law) and Rebecca O’Donnell. She also is survived by a large extended family including many cousins and aunts and uncles on her parent’s side. A Celebration of Life is being planned for this summer and a very small service was held on January 14th, at the Christ Episcopal Church, 1210 Wooten Lake Rd., NW, Kennesaw, GA, 30144. She will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.winkenhoferpineridgefuneralhome.com for the family. Donations in her honor can be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org), Sea Turtle Conservancy (https://conserveturtles.org), and Christ Episcopal Church, 1210 Wooten Lake Rd., NW, Kennesaw, GA, 30144.

I am heartbroken for everyone's loss. I initially dealt with Nicole in a business capacity but over many years the relationship was much more than just business. She was a wonderful, kind and caring person and always a bright spot in my day when I had occasion to talk with her. My prayers go out to all who grieve for this tragic loss.
