Jean retired from Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Georgia after many years of dedicated service. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and doing embroidery work. She and her husband Ron were married in 2001 and they both loved going camping together. Jean was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; she will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Along with her parents Jean is preceded in passing by her sister, Lavern Martin.
Jean is survived by her husband, Ronald DeCastro Sr.; two children, Rodney Guthrie of Acworth, GA., and Alondra Agee (Bill) of White, GA; four step-children, Mike DeCastro of Fairmount, Ron DeCastro Jr. of Cartersville, Angie Lee (Bobby) of Griffen, and Michelle Hall (Edward) of Kingston; a brother, Gary Martin; three grandchildren, Alondra Nicole, Ryan, and Brandon; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends also survive.
A funeral service to honor the life of Jean DeCastro will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, July 14, 2018 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
A visitation with the family will be held from six o’clock in the afternoon until eight on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
