Omar Forde, 28, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Funeral is Saturday, December 28, 11am at Northstar Church in Kennesaw with a private burial to follow. His wife is asking everyone to wear red, white, and blue for the services.
Omar was a Marietta native and graduated in 2004 from Kennesaw Mountain High School. He joined the Army in early 2005. Omar married his high school sweetheart, Megan, on February 2006. Together they have two boys, Ayden, 5, and Devery, 18 months.
He was a dedicated family man, and a wonderful husband and father. He loved the army and was an accomplished and decorated soldier including being awarded the bronze star.
Omar is survived by his wife Megan Forde, his two children Ayden and Devery Forde, all of Junction City, KS. He is also survived by his parents, Metzi and Astin Forde. In lieu of flowers, a fund through PayPal has been set up for the children through the email address, [email protected]. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27 from 6-9pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw.
