Really a sad news the passing of Oscar. Good man, good friend. Knew him for more than 40 years working on the aviation business. My condolences for Carmelina, sons, grandchildren & the rest of the family. Left this place too early.

I remember first meeting Oscar around 1990.  Back  then he managed the maintenance for a fleet of Gulfstream I's.  It seemed a normal routine where he would pick up one of the planes in Wilmington DE, fly to our shop in Millville NJ where we performed his engine maintenance before heading back to Venezuela.  I fondly remember his visits and the times when Carmella, Oskar and Luis would join him on his trip.  It was fun to watch the boys play pool at our hangar waiting for Dad to pick up his plane.

From the early days to today, it has been a +30 year relationship where I considered Oscar not only a loyal customer but a friend for whom I have the greatest respect and admiration.  He was a smart business man who watched out for his company but treated us all honestly and fairly.  His word was his bond; something that is becoming quite rare.

Above all Oscar was about family; which he always talked about and was proud to share with us all, and us with him, throughout the years.

RIP OSTO, you will be missed my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with Oscar's family and work family. For the 12 years that I knew Oscar I will always remember his phone call or email. "PAMC, My friend, I need your services." I would arrive get the job done then if time allowed we would go to the Mexican restaurant near the airport. I always had great conversations with Oscar about family, entrepreneurial endeavors and TFE engines. With fond memories of Oscar. My Condolences to the family of Oscar Torrealba.

Thoughts and prayers for the family during this difficult and trying period with Covid taking too many loved ones before their intended time.  Nothing but time will heal the pain of your loss, but we can all cherish the great memories that Oscar has left behind for all those that knew him.

Oscar hired me at Phoenix Air when he was Director of Maintenance 12 years ago. He always had a smile on his face. When he came to you with something he needed, he would start the conversation with, "My friend, ...".  He loved it when I rolled the "r"s in his name, so I would purposely extend his name to Torrrrrrrrealba!, which would always receive a smile. I will miss my friend.

Deepest condolences to the Torrealba family.  Oscar was a great man, and good friend that always greeted you with a smile and words of encouragement.  He was upbeat,  always willing to help and be supportive as a co-worker, which always meant a lot to me.  We had some good times on the golf course too that I will cherish and remember fondly of my friend Oscar.  Rest in peace Mr. T.

It was my pleasure to work with Oscar for 7 short years anytime i needed anything he always had the answer you left a big set of shoes to fill RIP my Friend!!

Que hombre tan amable y agradable que fue Oscar. Siempre listo con una sonrisa y buena conversacion, lleno de amor por su bella Carmelina, sus muchachos y sus lindas nietas. Te fuiste muy pronto, pero quedan todos los lindos recuerdos. Brille para ti la luz perpetua. Un gran abrazo para ti Carmelina.

October 20, 2014 Jim Blasingame and I were chasing The Big "O" for a Spey overhaul coming due.  We were golfing that day and Oscar said he hadn't made up his mind which vendor to use.  He then stated that he would send the engine to us if we beat him at golf.  He wrote the bet on a yellow golf ball.  We won.  We got the engine.  He was tough, kind, loyal and a friend.  I will miss the golf, laughs, dinners, and mutual respect.  There a  too few OSTO's in the world.  I still have the golf ball.

Oscar has been a long time friend, business associate and a wonderful person with whom we have shared much joy these past several decades. His passion for life and warmth toward all he touched has been an unmistakable blessing that he carried with him  and shared freely throughout his life. Oscar's dedication to family and friends is among the strongest I have ever known. He will be greatly missed by us all.
