

How do you sum up a life?
It is the people's lives we have touched, loved, and made memories with that mark a great life.
Peggy had that life.
She loved her god, her family, and her friends.
Born 11/10/1945 to Charles and Annie Brown in Marietta, Ga. Peggy lived in that community where she graduated Marietta High School. Immediately after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart Kinsey Lanier Ledford in June 1963. They had been married for 52 years. He was the love of her life.
He preceded her in death. Peggy was proceeded in death by her parents Charles Buck Brown and Annie Dean Brown, and her sister Martha Weiskopff.
She is survived by: Shelia Cagle-Webb-Spouse Greg Webb of Jackson, Ga. Susie Mcfarland of Cartersville, Ga. Kinsey Lanier Ledford II-Spouse Angela Wilson of Kennesaw, Ga. Shelley Smith-Spouse Josh Smith of Marietta, Ga.

She also had 9 grandchildren: Meredith Cagle-Mathew Chaney, Ashley Mcfarland -Jason Johnson, Craig Webb-Ashely Webb, Allison Webb-Chris Rivers, Michael Cagle, Cody Mcfarland Sutherland- Jessica Sutherland, Lacey Mcfarland- Ryan Kirby, Landon Smith, and Olivia Smith. Peggy also has 7 great grandchildren: Chloe Louise Johnson, Skylar Webb, Alex Webb, Sommer Webb, Wyatt Webb, Will Basset and Luke Basset. Her children and her grandchildren were her world.
Peggy worked for Southern Bell and Lockheed during the C5 era. She worked at Cobb EMC for 37 years, where she retired. While there she mentored many children at Allatoona Elementary School. She always believed in helping children any way she could, to help them succeed. Peggy received her Certification as Professional Secretary in 1994. She was a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals for many years.
Peggy was also a member of Mt. Paran North Church of God. Peggy was a very religious woman. She did her bible study every day, until the tumor took away her ability. She enjoyed reading and gardening. She spent most of her free time with her children and grandchildren.
Peggy and her husband Ken were lifelong supporters of: St Jude's Children Hospital and The St. Joseph's Indian School. She believed that anyone could make a difference, if they believed that in their heart. They both did. Peggy was blessed, and she was loved. That is all we can hope to achieve in this life, and she was.
