

She was born in Bay D’Espoir Newfoundland and was the third child of John and Margaret Organ. Philomena met her husband of 38 years Gordon Osborne(deceased Feb 1998) in St. Johns’s Newfoundlandand. They were married in Georgia, USA in January 7, 1960. She had four children Sharon Osborne of Cartersville, Georgia, Patricia Carter of Marble Hill, Georgia, James R. Osborne (deceased May 2015), and Roger E Osborne (Donna) also of Marble Hill Georgia. She is survived By her 7 grandchildren Timothy Owens, James Owens, R. J. Smith, Evan Carter, Matthew Carter, Lauren Carter, and Dylan Carter and her two great grandchildren Natalie and Avery. Philomena is survived by brothers and sisters David Organ (Catherine) of Halifax Nova Scotia, Johnny Organ (Mary) of Halifax Nova Scotia, Margaret MacIsaac (Dave) of Nfld, Jenny Collier (Johnny deceased) of Bay D’Espoir, Nfld, and Anthony Organ (Shirley) of Whitby, Ontario Canada. She is predeceased in death by her sister Laura O’Quinn (Johnny deceased) of Coudroy Valley Nfld, Michael Organ of Bay D’Espoir, Nfld, and Patricia Organ of Halifax Nova Scotia. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Philomena began her life in Bay D’Espoir Newfoundland as a citizen of The United Kingdom. At the age of 15 became a Canadian Citizen when Newfoundland became Canada’s 10th Canadian Providence in 1949. Philomena married her husband, a US Navy Sailor, and moved to the United States in 1960. She became a U.S. Citizen in a special ceremony over thirty years after she moved to the USA. Philomena’s pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her energy, her love of a good cup of tea, and the love she shared with all who knew her. She was a wonderful wife, the very best mom, and one awesome grandmother.
