

Rev. Phyllis J Rawlins of Dallas, GA went to be with the lord on January 20th, 2023. Phyllis was born On September 11th, 1949, to Emmanuel and Hildegard Baker in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Arthur Hills High School in Saginaw alongside her twin brother Philip Baker. She would go on to graduate from Western Michigan University and received her Master's of Divinity from Trinity Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. Phyllis had the distinction of being the first female graduate of that seminary.
Upon graduation she joined the Lutheran church of America and become a pastor. She pastored churches in Ohio, Michigan, and North Dakota.
After many years of service in the Lutheran church, Phyllis would go on to start Destiny Seekers International, a ministry with a worldwide focus of drawing people closer to Jesus Christ. Over the next 30 years Phyllis authored several books, organized numerous mission trips, retreats and seminars which saw many people rededicate and give their lives to Christ. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents Emmanuel Baker and Hildegard (David) Shoenmeyer, her siblings Phillip and William baker, Rosemary Allen, and Helen Alm. Phyllis leaves behind three sons, Jeffery (Mikalynn) Rawlins, Jeremy (Andrea) Rawlins both of Acworth, Ga. Joshua (Michelle) Rawlins of Fenton, Michigan, six grandchildren Joshua, Morgan, Ally, Carson, Molly and Samantha Rawlins and a lifetime legacy of Serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ faithfully.
