Rebecca "Ruthie" Ruth Cressman

Rebecca "Ruthie" Ruth Cressman, age 50, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Ruthie was born in Falls Church, Virginia on April 23, 1971 to her parents, Patricia Anne Clifford Gere and Giles Stanley Gere. Ruthie was a graduate of Cross Keys High School in Atlanta where she was a member of the Drill Team. After high school she attended Dekalb Community College where she pursued a music degree. Ruthie was very active in her community and loved serving as the Handbell choir director at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church. Some of her hobbies included collecting shot glasses and dolls, cross stitching, watching anything Disney and especially baking. Ruthie was preceded in death by mother Patricia Anne Clifford Gere.

Ruthie is survived by her children; son, James Walker Cressman of Kennesaw, Georgia, son, Chris Cressman; father, Giles Stanley Gere; loving partner, Skip Gorman, grandchildren; Marlana Cressman, Korrina Esser, John Lank, Kevin Miller; and a number of special friends.

A visitation for Ruthie will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A funeral service will occur Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 4:00 PM, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM, entombment will occur at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC.
