

Rexell Wright Walters (Rex) - 84 years of age - of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Sunday May 3, 2020. Rex was born on November 12, 1935. Services are pending at this time and will be announced later.
Rex is survived by his wife of 65 years: Lucy Walters; Daughter: Claire Walters Ujjin; Sons: Fred Walters, Rick Walters, Terry Walters, and Curtis Walters. He had thirteen loving grand and great-grandchildren. Rex was also loved and adored by an extended family of cousins, nephews, and nieces.
A native of Mississippi, Rex honorably served our country in the U.S. Army for 12 years and was a veteran of the Korean War. He received the Purple Heart and earned the Korean Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge and Parachute Badge. Rex also served his country as an interrogator-translator during the Cold War – speaking fluent Russian and German.
Rex traveled the world, with stops in Korea, Japan (where he met and married the love of his life), and Germany.After his military service, Rex used an entrepreneurial spirit and undying optimism to start and build multiple businesses.Rex was an avid football and baseball fan and enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports. He valued the competitive spirit of sports and the value of higher education and instilled these upon his children.
