Richard Hugh Jamieson, age 86, of Cumming, Georgia passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2020. Richard was born August 11, 1933 in Lockport, NY to his late parents, Hugh W. and Sadie A. Perkins Jamieson. He proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He worked for MOOG, Inc. as a Metallurgist for over 20 years before he retired in 1999. An avid collector of movie memorabilia, he enjoyed long walks in the neighborhood where he would not miss an opportunity to tell them to “keep smiling”. Above all else, he loved spending time with his daughter and grandsons.
Richard is survived by his daughter Janet of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Bradley (Stefanie) Lathrop of Alpharetta, GA, and Jordan Lathrop of Cumming, GA.
A memorial service for Richard is being planned for a later date.
