

Robert Walter Brown, a beloved and cherished individual, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on August 24, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio. Robert was a devoted and hard-working man known for his resilience and thoughtfulness. He retired from Adrian Public Schools where he was the Buildings Maintenance Superintendent. Prior to this role he was a successful and talented home builder and remodeling professional.
He was the son of the late Walter Emerson Brown and Vera Mayer Brown. Robert was a devoted husband to Jean Ann Kalinoski Brown, with whom he shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love and family. He was a proud father to his sons, Robert Brown II (Andrea), Richard Brown (Robin), and Randall Brown (Kelly), and a loving father to his daughter, Michele Schneider (Troy). His family extended to his grandchildren: Katelyn, Christy, Emily, Shane, Nathan, Cory, Nick, Jordan, Jena, Makena, Carly, the late Clarice, Dean, Allen, Jeff and Sam as well as 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also a cherished brother to the late James Brown (Mary Lou) and Carolyn Ramm (Jim).
Robert had a passion for various hobbies and interests. He enjoyed working with stained glass, playing golf, and engaging in woodworking. His skill in remodeling homes was evident as he successfully remodeled four homes that he lived in. Robert also had a love for motorcycles and found joy in painting, having taken numerous Bob Ross classes. He also found great joy in making cigar box guitars. After retiring to Florida in 2002, Robert moved to Georgia three years ago with the help of his son Randy and his wife Kelly.
A celebration of Robert's life is pending. His memory will be treasured by all who knew him.
