Robert "Bob" Burch Tidwell

Robert ‘Bob’ Burch Tidwell, age 91, of Acworth, GA, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020. He was born on July 8, 1928 in Atlanta, GA, to his late parents; Carl and Violet Tidwell. Mr. Tidwell served his country faithfully in the United States Navy. Bob had worked hard for his family and was of the Baptist faith. He was known as ‘Poppy’ and was a nurturing, loving, family man. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marjorie Arnold Tidwell, a brother and his dog Rafi.

Mr. Tidwell is survived by his loving children; Mike Tidwell of Woodstock, GA, Jeff and his wife, Ellen Tidwell of Milton, GA, Oby and his Wife Julie Arnold of Marietta, GA, Andi and her husband Sam Ward of Marietta, GA, Dana Sellers of Acworth, GA; grandchildren; Karen, Lia, Drew, Laura, Kristen, John, Valerie, Anna, Oby, Will, Suzanna, Jeffrey, Jessica, Jennifer, Aly, Michael, Shelton, Meagan, Brandon; 22 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Graveside Services for Mr. Tidwell will be held on Thursday July 30, 2020 at Pine Ridge Memorial Park’s Chapel Mausoleum at 11:00 AM with Rev. Lindsey Lewis officiating. Interment will follow the service at Pine Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the Mausoleum Chapel on Thursday July 30, 2020 from 10:00 AM until the service begins at 11:00 AM. The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service or visitation in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions. If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading any possible illnesses and to help keep our visitors, friends and the family members of Mr. Tidwell safe.
