

Mr. McAfee joined the Navy in October 1974 and served our country honorably until his retirement in 1997. While in the Navy, Ronnie earned two National Defense Service Medals, four Navy Good Conduct Medals (with gold), and the Humanitarian Service Medal – from the Secretary of the Navy, three Navy Achievement Medals, and the Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (USS John F. Kennedy). Mr. McAfee also worked for Marta as a Quality Assurance Specialist. Ronnie was the type of a guy who enjoyed all that life brought his way and lived by the motto to try to make someone’s day and to help them smile, remember Ronnie invented the little yellow stickies’! Mr. McAfee’s hobbies included martial arts, yard work, being a home body, his blue diamond truck, and running, which was his passion.
Ronnie is survived by his daughters – Brooke Jean McAfee, Megan Leann McAfee, and Cassie Jean McAfee, sons – Matthew Windom, Andrew Parrish, and Michael Meehan, brothers – William McAfee, Johnny McAfee, and Bobby McAfee, grandchildren – Blakely, Jean, Setser, Lyla, Elizabeth, Wyatt, and Nora, cousin – Eddie Rodgers, best friend – Mike Sutton ( Vickie – May God rest his soul), and his former wife’s – Deborah McAfee and Terri McAfee.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 24 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
