Ronny G. Carr, 80, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Ronny was born December 11, 1944, in Cartersville, GA. He was an O’Keefe High School alumni and later entered the US Air Force. Ronny was well known in Cobb County as a singer/musician performing for over 20 years at Rhett Butler Lounge, later named Frank and Ronny’s Lounge. Along with singing and recording music, he enjoyed golf, tennis, traveling, and had a special bond with all the family pets.
Ronny is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Roberta Carr; loving children Tammy Johnson (Phillip), Terri Robertson (Rick); and Ryan Carr. Grandchildren Alex Robertson (Maria), Ashleigh Miears (Stephen), Connor Johnson (Jonah), Abigail Johnson; great granddaughter Ivy Robertson; several nieces and nephews.
Ronny was preceded in death by his parents L.V. Carr and Ada Hyde Carr, brother Billy Carr.
A visitation will be Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Winkenhofer Funeral Home.
A funeral service for Ronny will follow in the chapel at 1:30 p.m.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, 1173 Cascade Circle SW, Atlanta GA 30311.
