There is hardly a day that passes but what we think about Russ Alme and what a good neighbor he was. He was always willing to help, not only us, but anybody that had a need. He worked so hard, even though he might not have felt like it. We lost a good man.

I worked with Russ at Home Depot #116 in Woodstock GA off and on from about 1995 to 2007.  It was truly a pleasure knowing him.  He taught me a lot about the tools we sold, and he always seemed interested in what I had to say on just about any topic.  We closed down the hardware department together many a night, and on a few occasions shared a brew across the street.  Godspeed my friend; I hope to see you again someday.

We met Russ twenty three years ago as our next door neighbor. He was the best neighbor anybody could ask. He would do anything for you, even though he had health problems. He was a friend to many people and helped people in need.
He will certainly be missed.

I knew him as Russ, I met him four and a half years ago and have had the pleasure of seeing him each and every week. Each time Russ entered our establishment I greeted him by name and knew exactly what he wanted and he loved that. I loved that he loved that. I will truly miss you Russ, you always told me how proud you were of me and I will miss hearing you say that.

I met Russell two years ago through business.  I learned today he passed away and it is a great loss for all who did and did not know him. Every encounter with Russell was a blessing.
