Sandy was a dear friend of mine for over 50 years. We were roommates twice and still remained friends. She was my person. It was rare that I missed talking to her daily. We lived and played together. She was a dedicated teacher and would correct grammar mistakes without hesitation. Sandy my dear friend I will miss you. Love you.

Sandy was a strong and compassionate woman with a heart of gold and witty sense of humor. She worked hard, cared deeply, and was so accepting of others. I first met her as my son’s teacher, but later she became a colleague and eventually a teammate at Awtrey Middle School. She was fun, fair, honest, and most of all genuine. I am honored to have known her and call her my friend. My heart is saddened as I try to express my condolences to the family and friends she loved so much. Sandy sincerely cared for the North Cobb community she served and will be greatly missed.

I along with other friends shared an apartment adjacent to Sandy and her roommates in the early 1970's. Both apartments quickly became close friends. We shared meals and had some wonderful times together. Sandy was a true friend that one could count on for any need. It did not take long to learn and know that Sandy was fiercely devoted to her family and friends. Sandy had the most infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. Sandy had a warm and caring attitude for her students and often opined on what she could do to help and guide the students properly.

It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that I say "Life--well done Sandy".

I was truly honored to have taught with Sandy at Awtrey Middle School from 1981 - 1990. She is such a sweet lady and great teacher. I sure did enjoy our Awtrey Lunches at Red Lobster that she so graciously kept us informed through emails and Facebook. We are better having known Sandy. Blessings to her family, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. We love you Sandy Soulis. You are loved, Stephanye

Sandy was a sweet lady. We taught together at Awtrey. I really tickled her when I tap danced on the table in the teacher’s lounge. She never let me forget it and laughed through the years.
